The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the sale of all Firetrol equipment including but not limited to controllers, parts, and field service in a specified domestic region of the United States of America.

The RSM must maintain all customer relationships within the assigned geographic boundaries and support customers to ensure annual growth in the region.

The RSM will report all sales by sub-region to the National Sales Manager monthly and assist with developing forecasts and accurately tracking forecast vs. actual sales.

The RSM will understand and manage all channel dynamics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Devise effective sales and marketing strategies within assigned region
  • Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions
  • Monitor competition within assigned region
  • Assess sales performance according to KPIs
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Conduct training and sales presentations for current and perspective customers
  • Prepare and submit reports as required to the National Sales Manager
  • Availability to travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Basic knowledge of symbols, relay ladder diagrams and electronic schematics
  • Working knowledge of motor contactors, control relays, and solid-state electronic components and circuits
  • Knowledge of quoting techniques including translating specifications into a concept, estimating time and material, and project scheduling

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 Year Associates Degree or experience (5+ years) may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Low and medium voltage power applications experience as well as diesel engine control
  • Working knowledge of complex electrical systems
  • Understanding of building management and other communication protocols a plus
  • Experienced in working with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70, NFPA 20, etc.)
  • CAD skills a plus
  • Multilingual a plus
